There’s a new Head of Sales at Eaglestone, and it’s a driven, knowledgeable man who’s worked with us for years. We’re thrilled to welcome Ron Inciong to the Eaglestone team, and we’re even more thrilled to see where his influence takes us in the coming years.
How he started
From a young age, Ron has been optimizing and making things better. Armed with a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Illinois Chicago, he entered the automation market at Flexlink before signing on with Festo—a longtime Eaglestone supplier and maker of systems, components and controls for industrial automation.
At Festo, where he spent over 20 years, Ron grew his control knowledge, sales ability and business development skills. “Festo is a wonderful company, and it’s also a massive one. You could implement a change that felt like a massive turn of the rudder, but in reality it was like trying to turn a container ship,” he said.
That’s what made the move to Eaglestone so intriguing.
Why Ron joined the Eaglestone team
In a word: agility. Before he became an employee, Ron had been working with Eaglestone for years, and he was always aware just how nimble the company was. “The agility is very exciting here,” he said. “You can feel how everyone, from leadership down, wants to build the business into something new. It’s built into the culture.”
That Eaglestone culture starts with Carmen Sammauro, co-founder and president. His goal from 1990 onward has been to build a high-quality and reliable company that treats employees right, and he’s never been afraid to change the trajectory of the business if it’s determined to be the right move. All of these traits added up to make Eaglestone an exciting leap for Ron.
“I see a massive opportunity for growth at Eaglestone,” he said. “There’s clearly a company-wide desire to diversify the core into an automation-forward offering. That, coupled with expanding our verticals, is what I picked up on. Eaglestone has mastered the food industry and we’ll retain that mastery, but we will also master logistics and other non-food areas of manufacturing and conveying.”
Carmen is equally excited about the potential and possibilities with Ron aboard. “”When two longtime colleagues both say they’d rehire Ron ‘in a heartbeat,’ you pay attention,” Carmen said. “He’s a problem solver, a relationship builder and a natural mentor. I couldn’t be more excited to have him leading our sales team.”
What Eaglestone customers—and potential customers—can expect
Ron saw it firsthand while at Festo: the customer focus is different at Eaglestone. “It’s a degree higher than anywhere else I’ve seen, that commitment to service. It always has been,” he said.
That focus will continue and be built upon with Ron as Head of Sales. “We’re here to truly affect the customer journey, from initial contact all the way through to final delivery of our solution,” he said. “That journey is what should attract customers to us. Everyone says one-stop shop, but it’s more than just buying something in one place. You’re also getting the experience, the overall feel that we can bring to the table that no one else can.”
Ron is a sales leader, but he’s also a humble and fully aware person. He recognizes that these are things Eaglestone already does at an industry-best level, and he’s excited to help deliver on the consistency of that customer journey.
“Eaglestone is already nailing the experience side of things. The company reacts to customer needs and happily accommodates any unique process that’s needed,” he said. “If there’s any kind of unique need, no matter how nuanced it is, Eaglestone is all about it.”
